When Broncos starting Right Tackle Mike McGlinchey went down against the Steelers, backup Alex Palczewski stepped right up.
Palczewski, 3XL Client and graduate of Illinois, spent the majority of his rookie season in 2023 on the Injured Reserve before being activated late in the season. He followed that up with a great 2024 preseason campaign, and eagerly awaited his opportunity.
That opportunity came against the Bucs. Palczewski got his first NFL start, at Right Tackle, and played a nearly flawless game, leading the Broncos to a win and letting up zero sacks or hits on the Quarterback. The next week, once again, Palczewski started and let up zero sacks or hits on the Quarterback on the way to a Broncos victory over the Jets.
Despite being in just his second NFL season, Palcewski is no stranger to big starts, after setting an NCAA record at Illinois with 65 career starts. After helping the Broncos lock in their first two wins of the season, Palczewski will continue to anchor down their Offensive Line and hopefully pave the way to more victories this season.
